Obsession #1: Nails//colours: Tips! What colour should you wear based on your skin tone.

Tuesday 28 April 2015

As you have probably already noticed I like my nails to match my outfit, that's why there's 5-6 shades of one colour! Anyway I thought it would be a good idea to give you some tips on how to pick the perfect nail colour for you based on your skin tone! I hope you will find it useful and interesting so here we go!

Nail colour based on SKIN TONE:

Pale skin- yellow, orange, red
Colours for pale skin are very limited as it has pinkish undertones, therefore any colour with warm undertones such as yellow, gold, orange etc. will be perfect for you as they won't make your skin look ''too sallow''.
AVOID dark colours such as black or dark purple!

Medium skin- beige, camel, brown
You're very lucky you can pull off almost every colour!  Remember nude colours suit you best!
AVOID gold!

Olive skin- gold, dark green, dark purple, black, orange
Simply, dark colours suit you best, whether it's tan or your natural skin colour look for dark colours! (However, with today's fashion, tan looks really good with WHITE and baby blue).
AVOID pastel colours.

Dark skin-  purple, burgundy, red, black, cherry
Any dark shade will suit you, the darker the better!
AVOID light colours, like beige, blue or yellow, as they will make your skin look flat and dull.

White Shorts

Monday 27 April 2015

White Shorts £19.99 (NewLook)

I bought these white shorts some time ago, but haven't had a chance to wear them since the weather wasn't as sunny as I expected. However they are the perfect piece of clothing for summer; trendy, classy and white! You can wear them with a crop top or with a cami top, converse or heels and I guarantee it will look great! Make it a perfect look for summer by adding a kimono and changing converse to sandals + boho bag!

Camel midi skirt vs. all black

Friday 24 April 2015

 Skirt £10 (missguided) // Top £8 (boohoo) // Bag £20 (river island) // Shoes £4 (primark) // Rings £2.50 (primark).

So I bought this camel skirt from Missguided along with a few other things that I had to return, since they were too big for me as I'm a midget:( But as soon as I tried on this midi camel skirt, I got an idea of an outfit to go with it! So I thought I would show you bloggers what I came up with. Unfortunately the colours to go with 'camel' are very limited, and I personally think that only a few colours would really go with it, like white, black or baby blue. But anyway I hope you like the summery outfit!

Naan bread brunch // Recipe

Thursday 23 April 2015

So since I was bored and didn't have any idea what to make myself to eat, I decided to figure something out using naan bread and mainly vegetables. So here's a 5minute recipe on how to make yourself a quick snack or a party meal (cut it in small pieces).

You'll need: Naan bread x1, slice of ham, tomato, red onions, green onions, egg, cheese, garlic, butter.

Preheat the oven to 250'C, then once you put the naan in turn it down to 100'C.

1. Spread butter on the naan bread.
2. Chop garlic and try to spread it with the butter already on the naan.
3. Put as much cheese on it as you like (lay it mainly on the outside so you'll have a hole to put the egg in).
4. Cut ham into little squares and lay it on the outside too.
5. Cut the red onions and place it around.
6. Just like ham, cut the tomato into little squares.
7. Finally cut the green onions, but leave them on the side.
8. (Make sure all the ingredients are layed around and make reasonable space in the middle for the egg).
9. Slowly crack the egg and put it in the middle of naan bread.
10. Add green onions.
11. And more Cheeseeee!!
12. Use salt and pepper

Cook until you see that the egg is ready, should take around 10-15 minutes.

Shopping followed by lunch

Wednesday 22 April 2015

Necklace £1.50, Rings £2.50, Sandals £4 and Mirror £1 (Primark) // Kimono £14.99 (H&M)

Making the most out of my 2hour break between lectures, I decided to go shopping with Alex and Lauren. It took me probably 30 minutes to look for the right size(3) of sandals, and I still haven't found any, so I had to take size4! As you can see I got some jewellery for pretty decent price, but hey what else can you expect from Primark. Finally the H&M Coachella Kimono! Even though I'm not a big fan of tassels, I thought it would be silly not to get this kimono as it could literally go with anything! And the fact that it's black and white makes it better cause it will suit every colour! After starving myself for few hours of being on the bus, I decided to make some quick lunch, which probably took me 10 minutes, all I had to use was garlic, olive oil, a bit of chilli, broccoli and cheese. Though I was quite disappointed that I had to use organic pasta which had an aftertaste of honey, and even though it was cooked it was still quite hard. But anyway I am pretty happy with my new purchase!

Beach waves and nude nails

Wednesday 15 April 2015

As the weather outside is so beautiful today (23 degrees!), I decided I'll go for the summer look today and make beach waves along with nude nails which make the look more natural. I hope the sun in your area is kind and you'll get the opportunity to sunbathe and/pr spend some time outside with your friends and family. Make the most out of this gorgeous weather!!

Spring Blue's

Tuesday 14 April 2015

First of all I hope you're all enjoying the lovely sunny weather and your Easter holidays! Since I haven't uploaded anything here for a while I'll talk about two things: nails and hair. For this season, I decided that "spring blue's" will be a great accessory to all the camel and brown trendy colours which we hear about so much for the past few weeks. So I would like to present you some nail varnish colours which I think would look great as spring and summer colours!

The top colour is 'classic turquoise' which would go with any bright colour. The bottom colour is pastel 'bubble gum' which in my opinion would go from the casual to elegant looks and still look good!

The hair product I wanted to talk about it 'Moroccan Oil' which you can purchase online for about £30. At first I was questioning whether the product would be worth the money, but after reading so many positive reviews about it and after trying it myself, I can tell you this, my hair was never so soft and shiny! I highly recommend this to all ladies, with all types of hair.
